Cat walks around the world.

A cat walk is a route through a neighbourhood, past cats whose people have put them in a window, a catio or a front garden for the afternoon. You walk. They sit. Everybody is delighted.

It began in Minneapolis in 2017. John Edwards had been on a walking tour that pointed at buildings and decided his neighbourhood had something better to point at. He mapped a route past a few cat households. Thirty people came.

The 2025 one drew over five hundred, including a woman in a t-shirt reading “I traveled 2000 miles to see your cats”. There are now seven of these on two continents, five founded in the last two years, and none of them knew about each other. So here they all are.

All of them

A cat walk is one afternoon a year.

Chonk Finder is the other three hundred and sixty four days. Photograph a cat you meet and it becomes a trading card with a name, a rarity and two attacks. Find the same cat four times, with other people, and it becomes a Chonk.

Take it on one of these walks and every cat on the route is a card. Take it down your own street and so is every cat there.
