- How do I organize a cat walk?
- Pick where it starts, a park, a café or a corner, and a Saturday afternoon. Share a sign-up form so neighbours can put their cats on it, say yes to each one, then print a brochure with the map and the cats. Cat Walk OS makes the map, the form and the brochure for you.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Cat Walk OS is free for organizers, and so is Chonk Finder for walkers. Walks of more than 40 people get a printed set of their cat cards free too.
- Do I need an account to try it?
- No. Tell us where your walk starts, and the map, the form and the brochure are made on the spot. Sign up when you want to keep it and leave the host form open for more than a day.
- Whose cats can be on it?
- Any cat whose person says yes. Your own cat, a neighbour’s in a window, foster kittens on a porch. Hosts apply, you approve, and nobody is on the walk who did not ask to be.
- What do walkers need?
- A brochure, or a phone. The brochure works on paper with a pen. Scanning it adds a countdown before the day, directions to each cat, and a card for every cat they meet.
- We already have a Google Form.
- Keep it. Link its responses sheet and every answer comes into the same review queue, with its address checked on the map.
- How big does a walk have to be?
- The first one ever had a handful of cats and thirty people. Ten cats on three streets is a lovely afternoon.
