CatchCat on iPhone? Here is one
CatchCat launched on Google Play and does not list an iPhone version, so there is nothing to install from the App Store today. Chonk Finder does the same thing, photographing the real cats you meet and turning each into a collectible card, and it is on the App Store and Google Play both, free and with no sign-up.
Free on iPhone and Android. No sign-up.
The article you read was about an Android app. CatchCat went live on Google Play, and there is no iPhone version listed, so half the people who read about it cannot try it.
Chonk Finder has been on both stores since August 2026. If your friends are split between iPhone and Android, it is the only one of these all of you can actually play, which matters because a cat here needs four different people to find it before it counts.

On the App Store, today
Free on iPhone, no account, no email, no password. The cats other people have found near you are on the map the moment it opens.

A card written for that cat
Photograph a cat and it comes back with a name, a Chonk Level from 1 to 10, a rarity, its coat and two attacks written for it alone. A cat asleep on a fence turns out to have a weakness to an empty lap.

Four people to a cat
A cat is not caught until four different people have found it, and all four are named on its card for good. It is a game about a street, not a score.
The three questions that stop people
- Is CatchCat on iPhone?
- Not that we can find. It launched on Google Play and no App Store version is listed. Checked on 23 September 2026, and worth checking again yourself, since that can change.
- What can I use on iPhone instead?
- Chonk Finder, free on the App Store, and Cat Collector, which is iPhone and iPad only. Chonk Finder is the one that is on Android too, so a group with both kinds of phone can play together.
- What does Chonk Finder do differently?
- A cat needs four different people to find it before it becomes a Chonk, and those four stay on its card. There is a free card every morning, walking routes worked out street by street, and the cards you earn can be printed and posted to you.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Free, no sign-up. The only thing sold is extra packs of printed cards, and the first pack is earned by playing.
There is probably a cat outside right now.
