Cat Collector on Android? Not yet

Cat Collector is on iPhone and iPad only. Its own FAQ says it is not on Android and asks people to say if they want it, so there is nothing to install on an Android phone today. Chonk Finder does the same thing, photographing real cats and collecting a card for each, and it is on Google Play as well as the App Store, which also means the friends you play with do not all need the same phone.

Free on iPhone and Android. No sign-up.

You read about an app that turns the cats you meet into a collection, went to install it, and found it was for iPhone. Cat Collector says so in its own FAQ: iPhone and iPad, not Android, and tell us if you want it. That is honest of them, and it does not help you this afternoon.

Chonk Finder is on both stores. It has been since August 2026, so there is no waiting list and nothing to sign up to.

And it leaves the phone

A free card waits every morning, there are walking routes worked out street by street, and the cards you earn can be printed properly and posted to you.

The three questions that stop people

Is Cat Collector on Android?
No. Their FAQ says it is available on iPhone and iPad but not Android, and asks people to let them know on Instagram or TikTok if they would like an Android version. Checked on 23 September 2026.
What can I use on Android instead?
Chonk Finder, which is free on Google Play, and CatchCat, which is also on Google Play. Chonk Finder is the one that is on iPhone too, so a group with both kinds of phone can play together.
Is Chonk Finder the same thing?
The same idea: photograph a real cat, keep it, see where you found it on a map. What is different is that a cat needs four different people to find it before it is caught, and those four stay on its card, so it is built to be played with other people rather than alone.
Does it cost anything?
No. Free, no sign-up. The only thing sold is a pack of printed cards, and the first pack is earned by playing rather than bought.

There is probably a cat outside right now.
